City Lose To Hull

I got back from Hull about an hour ago and can honestly say that City were beaten by one well made goal - the first and the other that was down to losing the ball in a great attacking position and getting hit on the break. Even then Macca got a decent tackle in but the ball bounced up into Simpsons chest and into his path and he went in on goal to seal the game.

Albert was again stopped by at times brutal tackling and one in the second half deserved a red imo.

Ribiero has a bit of mare and was at fault for the first goal although the bloke that crossed the ball did brilliantly well. Clarkson and Pitman got poor service all game but Stead went close twice when he replaced Clarkson.

There wasn't much between the sides but Hull got the better breaks. It wasn't a great game either, in fact it was a scrappy affair and neither side looked at their best.

Overall disapointed to lose but not disgraced. It was just one of those days....

Interesting that the fans are more generous to the team that Keith, who was clearly angry with their attitude, describing them as too comfortable and not playing until they were 2-0 down. He made similar comments after the Preston game and it does seem from time to time that they think they have cracked it and only have to turn up to win. It's one thing the fans getting carried away with promotion fantasies but if the players do likewise there is every chance we will drop back again.

Yup, and hopefully after a couple of games like this it'll be easier for KM to draw on such performances and remind the players, and hopefully cut them out. That said, everyone has an off day and Hull are in good form.

There were plenty of games just like this in September and October so we can't afford too many more performances like yesterday.

That said, the form has been excellent recently and the odd off days are inevitable.

The players shouldn't need reminding however just how dreadful alot of the early season performances were.

The post I was replying to was talking of players turning up and thinking they've cracked it; i don't think you could say that about any of the performances in September/October...!
