Sheff utd if they continue that form for first 30 games for next 16 will pick up 14.88 points, so rounded up will finish on 43 points, so 44 should be safety if none of the bottom 3 have a rival in form. publandlord Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 Working out on last 6 games: 16th Coventry 49 17th Portsmouth 48 18th Palace 46 19th Doncaster 46 20th CITY 45 21st Derby 40 22nd Sheff Utd 36 23rd S****horpe 27 24th Preston 27 so if everything followed current form (doubtful) we would need one more win to be safe. I think a more likely safety target would be 44 points and I think Derby are more likely to go down than Sheff Utd. Preston and S****horpe look certain to go down. Teams change forms, have good runs etc and if Sheff Utd win on Tuesday night with their game in hand then we are just 4 points off the drop zone. We need to win 5 games ASAP and then we can relax. 22A Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 I've checked the tables since City got back into the Championship for the points gained by the 22nd (highest relegated) team. 2007-08 Leicester went down with 52, 08-09 Norwich down with 46 and 09-10 Sheff W down with 47 points.
