Being completely honest as we have nothing to play for I would have taken a city loss if it also meant rovers losing today!! Love to see them go down!

Just glad I did not have to pay

End of season game

One big bore

Why LJ did not come on, I don't know

I ran the line for City Res v Exeter Res

two weeks ago, and even though Stead scored he did not look very good or up with it

Doesnt look good for the gas, i cant see them getting a point from there last games! Charlton (H), Bournemouth (A), Sheff Wed (H) and Colchester (A). Well at least we can look on and upwards to next season now. Get Maynard and David James to sign new contracts one of the first hurdles. Up the City (Hope Cardiff dont go up!!!)

sorry competing with that lot simply condemns us to mediocrity - only result that interests me is out own. What the blue few do is absolutely and totally lacking in any relevance.

I can see them winning 2 or 3 of them. Charlton are poor, Bournemouth is probably a defeat, Sheff Wed are poor away and Colchester are average. I would definately rather see Cardiff stay down.

I dunno, a bit of momentum for next year, may attract better players, something to take into next season. Had we won we would have still had an outside chance of 6th but really the Barnsley loss finished it and yesterday was the final nail. Fans pay good money, players and management are on good wages doing a job that many of us would surely like to do so yeah 100% effort and application for the final 4 games should be the aim!

I don't care about the gas or what they are doing I care about city and the 8th home defeat of a very poor season playing very poor football,

Those suggesting it doesn't matter because the gas lost are the problem at ashton gate no atmosphere too many anti gas songs and nothing to lift the team at all,

Couldnt agree with this post more. 8th home defeat of the season, we could even hit double figures.

I just cant wait for this season to be over, and pray to god the manager and players pull their fingers out of their backsides next year and do better

Spot on.

Walk behind the Ateyo before the match with my lad and it was like a topgear convention. Audi R8, Bentleys and Mercs all lined up.......then I watched the match and was left confused to how that display and standard of football delivered such rich rewards?

Rovers, Couldn't care any less.

I don't think many are saying that, simply that news of the gas losing and their (hopefully) impending relegation lifts the spirits a bit after a City defeat.

Can't see a problem with that - there's nothing we can do about a City defeat when it's all over but we can get a bit of pleasure cheering a gas defeat while filing out of the ground.

As for the anti gas songs I'm sure the players would say any noise is welcome and if anti gas songs lift the atmosphere when the players themselves are doing little to inspire it then that can't be a bad thing either.

Don't know where you sit but from the Dolman at the Atyeo end we don't hear many anti gas songs anyway.

i sit in the ateyo, you don't hear many songs at ashton gate at the moment and when you do hear the east end its out of time like two sets of away supports fighting each other,

When we're playing well or attacking there is plenty of atmosphere, support and songs.

For many fans it's not about 'singing' for the sake of it and never has been.

The atmosphere takes care of itself as long as there is entertainment and a fighting performance from the team.

Maybe so, there have been far too many poor home performances this season, now we're safe all we ask is some entertainment and a few goals to make up for them.

0-1 against ten men was not exactly what the doctor ordered.whistle.gif

Albert's the saving grace, the crowd are audibly lifted whenever he gets the ball, and once again a couple of his runs were fantastic.

I think part of the problem is that quite a few people were surprised a) that Millen was allowed to remain at BCFC when GJ was sacked b) even more surprised he was given the job and the speed at which that decision was made. Having said that he has done an OK job under difficult circumstances. His glee club have been telling us all season 'judge him next season', unfortunately the same people are now saying 'well actually don't judge him next season, judge him the season after'.

As for this season there have been a few memorable performances, a lot of embarrassing performances and far too many limp performances. Some of the major criticisms of GJ have been addressed however some are still there for all to see. The problem of balance is slowly but surely being addressed, width has been addressed and links to Premier League youngsters has been established, all important for next season especially. But the tinkering with formations, the rigid game plans that are obviously not working and are usually changed too late, the playing of players out of position (even when specialist players are fit) and also the use of youngsters, I read Millens mission statement about youth for next season and beyond and that is very laudable, but his defence of the use of youngsters so far this season is strange on one hand he says they'll play when they are ready and on the other hand he says he has given 3 or 4 of them a chance at various times this season, probably less than 1 hour when all added up, our position is tailor made to blood a few and put a few more young faces on the bench instead of guys who almost certainly won't be here next season.

Anyway I am really looking forward to next season, because the harsh reality of the play off system means that only a modest improvement of results is needed to give us a chance of prolonging our season and that should be achievable.

might not be for you but hearing the gas losing gives some a lift but its ridiculous a few rovers chats are not going to be responsible for eight hoime defeats and previous relegations.
