Then a couple of loans later in pre-season when the Prem clubs know who they're keeping. Need a bit of movement in the other direction, there are discussions happening about three players but nothing seems imminent. No further bid for Maynard and reiterated the clubs stance of not selling to another Championship club. Talks with Nicky will continue next week and hopes he is in the same mindset that wants to be part of what we are trying to achieve. Needs to bring in defenders, missed out on 5 or 6 who have gone to Premier League or top end Championship clubs. Expects 1 defender to arrive in time for pre-season which starts next Friday. Open to 1 or 2 loans after that as squad is still too large, although discussions continue with regards to letting two or three players move on.
