Hi all,

My new blog post has a review of our deadline day signing from both Leicester and Crystal Palace fans who have seen McGivern play. Make of it what you will!

Doesn't matter what he's done elsewhere, he's useful enough for Man City to give him a contract and its what he does for Bristol City that matters to us. Give the guy a chance, he's got to be better than McAllister.....

Totally agree, hence my final comments - sure there have been plenty of dreadful loan spells over the years from eventually good players when they're younger. Simply pooling opinion from elsewhere...

Don't hold your breath. As long as the rest or the team are playing poorly, what chance does he have? if players are not finding him, if players are playing him hospital balls, if players are not showing for he ball, if players are not playing simple pass and move.... You see where i am going, he could be the best player in the world, but if your team mates are not playing, you will look sub standard. Good luck to him, hope people do not get on the back of him due to others form.

Caulker's class stood out last season despite playing much of the season in a bottom half table team. Obviously Caulker was a class act and if McGivern is half as classy then we'll have a decent addition to the squad.

Lets see him in at least half dozen games before we pass judgement.
