ralphindevon
After Coppell I think we better steer clear of Cotterill, he quit Stoke after a few games to go to Sunderland as an assistant.
Steve Galliers for England
Steve Cotterill should have been here years ago. Absolutely the right man for our club. Get him in NOW! Ive always liked him too, up for getting his hands dirty, getting stuck in and calling a spade a spade. Could imagine he,d see this as a real goer - may not be tearing up trees at pompey but its often about the right man at the right place at the right time, for players and managers. For first time in week feel 100% sure on who would like.
Mendip City
After Coppell I think we better steer clear of Cotterill, he quit Stoke after a few games to go to Sunderland as an assistant. Plenty more games than coppell and he was approached by a bigger club in a higher division. AND he can spot a quality keeper on a free (unfortunately for us!!!!!). BCFC Jordan
Have people seriously lost their minds? Out of every realistic candidate, Cotterill is by far the worst of heard so far? Pompey fans want him out at the moment and he's won three games in about twenty games...
kevster3
But he has the personality, and passion to get the best out of our squad and get them motivated, and he's got a west country accent, what more do we want.

screech
He's done a brilliant job at Pompey, how he kept them up last season with less than 20 players is anyones guess. Some matches he couldn't fill a subs bench, just the sort of battler we need at present, long term who knows.

simonwheeler
Sorry but I personally think we could do far worse? The only thing going against him is he is STRONG on discipline, actually probably just exactly what we do need at present!!!!

hinsleburg
Why would that go against him? Because our players are so use to an easy ride they might not take to him.
Mendip City
Because our players are so use to an easy ride they might not take to him. We can't have that. Next you'll be telling me that he's capable of independent thought and might not always agree with everything the board say and do. How unpleasant for the old boys club. Mendip City
I might be the only one, but I wouldn't mind at all if he got the job... You're not on your own, seems those who dont want him are against his percieved brand of football (physical and direct). My thoughts are that's exactly the way we should be playing right now. Perhaps he could bring Henderson back with him and solve our goalkeeping issues..........
screech
I might be the only one, but I wouldn't mind at all if he got the job... I'm a fan of Cotterills, I think he's been a decent manager wherever he's been. The Portsmouth job has been exceptional all things considered. His likes his physical players no question, but the type of football is a mixture of direct and passing, if it was all long ball he wouldn't be managing in this league for so long. NOTR
Funny because every time his teams have played us not once has he ever given us any credit, just snide disparaging comments. He obviously just doesn't like us as a club,he's from the west country and I smell gas.
