jambodinho
I can't seem to find out any info about Marv's debut for the Reggae Boyz last night/this morning. All I know is that Honduras won 2-1 and Marv was due to start, wearing the number 9 shirt. Anybody seen a match report or an article about the game? CiderJar
http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/sports/Reggae-Boyz-suffer-fifth-straight-defeat Jamaica gradually clawed their way back into the contest and created the better openings thereafter, but Marvin Elliott, who was making his debut, as well as Phillips and Jason Morrison failed to make use of their opportunities. Elliott could consider himself unlucky as after twice going close with side-footed efforts, he saw his goal-bound header from inside the penalty area being inadvertently blocked two yards off the goalline by teammate Dane Richards. SC_Red
Sounds like marvin. for the number of good heading positions Elliott gets himself in in front of goal the number of times he scores from them is shocking.

Your spot on. Marv should be top scorer this year with the chances he has had and failed to put away.

His technique is crap. How they havent managed to coach him how to head a ball with power rather than meeting it as he falls is beyond me

When was the last time you actually saw Marv watch the ball onto his head? Never...he jumps in, does a double toe loop and triple salko then lets the ball hit his head at any old angle. He's like a mix of Junior Bent ( head like a 50p piece ) and Ralph Milne... Mr Swirly Wirley... Still can't believe Alex Ferguson signed him.
