He is the one that we should have perhaps kept, but he needed a fresh start and may never have made it had he stayed here. Pick the ONE player though that went on to better things after release... On one hand it shows how the players we've released have not gone on to do anything better and therefore we were right to let them go. However, what it also shows is how pathetically poor we have been in identifying and developing players over the past 5 years. The only real money being made on Lita and Cotterill, but even then £2m was the most. It's an awful lot of signing on fees and pay-offs to not get very far!
