What A Difference A Win Makes

You wouldn't believe how different the Forum is after just one win - impressive though' the win was.

Now threads are generally upbeat, talking about automatic promotion and the virtues of Wilson as a manager.Quite a difference from the slating two weeks ago.

Are most forum fans fickle or don`t they get it?

A season is 46 games long not 17.Its a marathon, not a sprint.City before Saturday were reasonably placed without having played well all season and yet reading this forum you'd have thought City were bottom of the league.

Saturdays win was overdue but won`t mean that much over the season unless City can kick on the back of it and beat Barnsley on Saturday and then Blackpool the week after. Then and only then could have City have turned the corner.

It makes a nice change though doesnt it !

But although over-reaction is just going to make us look stupid, I see nothing wrong with slating the team when its poor and praising them when its good.

Wouldnt this be a dull forum if all we ever said was...

'that defeat was a bit dissapointing, but mustn't complain, lets just wait and see what happens without discussing the failings of the team'

or...

'that win got us three points, but lets not get too carried away, after all theres a long way to go yet.'

Would that mean we could only discuss team performances at the end of the season ?
