Sorry if this has been posted by trawling online and found this posted today:

Jordan Ayew is in a 25-man party for Ghana's Nations Cup campaign in a squad of few surprises.

The 19 year-old Marseille forward who has been in form this season will join his brother Andre Ayew in the side that will travel to South Africa in the new year for the pre Nations Cup camping.

Ayew's form for Marseille this season led to massive calls for his inclusion but like a few other players would have to work their way into a final 23.

He will be battling for a slot among the strikers which includes South Korea based Derek Asamoah and Prince Tagoe.

Tagoe's poor goal scoring form for Ghana has led to intense criticism but Stevanovic insist his work rate merits a place.

The top goal scorer in the Glo League, Emmanuel Baffour of New Edubiase, is also in the side following his haul of eleven goals in eleven games.

John Boye of Stade Rennes makes a surprise entry in defence while Masahudu Alhassan who plays for the reserve side of Italian Serie A side Genoa has also been included.

The player would arrive in South Africa on January 7 and stay there until January 19 before travelling for their Nations Cup campaign.

During that period they will play top South Africa side Kaiser Chiefs and Bafana Bafana.

Ghana is in group D of the Nations Cup with Botswana, Guinea and Mali.

Ghana squad:

Goalkeepers: Adam Kwarasey, Daniel Adjei, Ernest Sowah.

Defenders: Samuel Inkoom, John Paintsil, Daniel Opare, Masahudu Alhassan, Lee Addy, John Boye, John Mensah, Jonathan Mensah.

Midfielders: Charles Takyi, Agyemang Badu, Derek Boateng, Anthony Annan, Mohammed Abu, Kwadwo Asamoah, Sulley Muntari, Dede Ayew.

Strikers: Emmanuel Baffour, Prince Tagoe, Derek Asamoah, Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew.

Shame for Albert but good news for us!

I hope Albert's not too disheartened, it came a bit early for him having only recently made his debut and I'm sure he'll be in the next one.

Good news that he'll be available for us provided they don't call him up as a replacement in the event of injury but I'd have been just as happy to see one of our players get international recognition.

Bad luck Albert, lets not forget Ghana have a wealth of talent to pick from, from the top divisons of most countries in Europe, so no surprise from my point of view.

I am sure he will get there sooner or later if he get experience playing at a higher level.

The first choice Ghanian right winger must be shit hot! Can we buy him as well?

There are 2 brothers -the Ayew brothers who are the sons of Abedi Ayew, better known as Abedi Pele. He played in the great Marseilles side of the late 80s and early 90s. He's seen as Ghana's greatest player and one of Africa's greatest. Both of these also play for Marseilles, so Albert has got a bit of a fight beating them to a place in the squad.

This is Ghana mind they were a penalty kick away from the semi finals of the last world cup and deserved the draw they got at Wembley last year.

Really? Pele was a bit of a genius in the early 90's, cracking player, if his sons have half his talent it is little wonder uncle Albert hasn't been picked.
