I watched him play many times for our reserves back in the day and he looked every bit, the very good goal scorer that he proved himself to be during his long playing career. As I recall, he left us to return to Morton because he was "homesick".

He'll certainly be sick of Bristol once more when he sees the size of the task he'll face with the Gas.

And if OTIB was invaded, albeit briefly, by Dons supporters once we'd had the temerity to sign Rickie Foster, heaven only knows how much stick the Gas Forum will take from them for having signed their nemesis as manager!

Its about time they appointed a new manager. The caretaker manager (whoever it was) was doing a good job. 4 points from 2 games - far to good a return.

Now they have a new permanent agent, ahem, manager - in place they should quickly get back to loosing ways.

If his time up here is any indication, he'll get them playing, do a decent job for about a season, then start flirting wildly with every half decent job that comes up, then 'commit' himself to his present club before leaving suddenly for a slightly less good job than the one he wanted, destabilise his old club by trying to tempt their best players away, then fail epicly and get sacks, staying out of the game for about 18 months, then doing it again!

Guy has the loyalty of a bigamist.

Good luck Rovers, you'll need it!
