notsobigfatdave
Interesting article in the local Rag.. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/9561896.The_Paolo_Di_Canio_Column__Parker_is_a_great_captain/ The guy is destined for the very top as a Manager IMO... If not with the Hammers then in his native land. Fair play to Swindon they took the risk and made a BIG INVESTMENT when appointing Paulo.. IF only......... Barrs Court Red
Yawn. He's been a manager for 3/4 of a season, in a poor league with one of the bigger clubs. Roy Keane managed a promotion once, should be appoint him on that basis?
Monkeh
I agree with Dave on this one he is going to be a top top manager and his arrogance reminds me of Jose Morunio

Guest
I agree with Dave on this one he is going to be a top top manager and his arrogance reminds me of Jose Morunio Tend to agree, although lets not forget the article on GJ where he was cited as the best english manager in a decade! I think DiCanio is destined to be in charge of a PL club very soon. Love his passion for the game, as fans we all love to see a manager demonstrate it. Wedgie STFC
I think he will leave us after the next season but who knows, I agree that he might well end up taking us up again, L1 isn't that great standard nowhere near as bad as this awful division. I also think L1 will be easier next season with clubs coming down compared to clubs coming down from the championship. DI Canio is proving in a very short space of time he's one of the best managers around in the lower leagues.
Esmond Million's Bung
Bit of luck he'll get the West Ham job when the cockanees get even more bored with fat Sam's woosh ball.

Kid in the Riot
I agree with Dave on this one he is going to be a top top manager and his arrogance reminds me of Jose Morunio Jose Mourinho?! Please! Arrogance it's where the similarities end I think. That, and 'passion' will only get you so far and you need tactical awareness to manage at the highest level (obviously). So far the only thing Di Canio has proven at Swindon is that he's crackers. I don't see him succeeding at the highest level, too mental and will become a liability

I can also imagine Dicanio's meetings with the porn procurers being fun.

Wedgie STFC
They were better however were much better at their manner, we had our Captain out, players playing out of position but we won, that's all that matters. Will you lot stay up then?

Love his passion for the game, as fans we all love to see a manager demonstrate it. Agree with that Tom. Football and life in general needs characters and di Canio is definitely one of those. Had to laugh that game when he ran 50 yards to jump on his players when they were celebrating a goal. At first you see this hooded loony running down the pitch and assume its a drunken fan and then realise its di Canio! Proper bloke and only in professional sport nowadays could a peoples man such as that be punished for showing passion!

GrahamC
Massively over publicised manager (he gets far more TV coverage than many Championship managers, why?) of a team who are just beating the likes of Dagenham, Morecambe and Macclesfield. petehinton
i think the main positive with di canio is that he takes no crap and can image he has zero tolerance on a lot of things. If he was manager i cant imagine kilkenny et al would have allegedly been getting pissed up at clifton after peterborough

We play some good football, albeit at a lower level, but I don't think we are that far off from having a really competitive squad for next year aswell. I think you lot will stay up, but more down to the quality of theteams around y you

Wedgie STFC
Don't you have a much bigger budget than most of the teams in your division? (Crawley aside) That must help, surely? We have the biggest I reckon, even more than Crawley, we were rock bottom of L1 last year, play off final L1 year before, I guess we had one of the larger budgets last year and that was a complete disaster. The wage cap has meant we have the luxury to assemble a large squad which Poalo has used to his advantage. Wage cap comes into effect in L1 next year so you should be fine if you do go down, all based on average attendances.
