EstoniaTallinnRed
Anyone see the Crewe v Southend Play off match tonight? Good to see Steve still playing and having a good game. Made a couple of good saves and kept Crewe in the lead. I always felt confident when he played for City. Final score was 1-0 to Crewe.
Brizzle Jordan
Crewe were fantastic, played some brilliant stuff with a group of very young home-grown players. I want them to get promotion. I would love for Bristol City to have a simalar style and success rate with youth players.
pride of the west
I would love for Bristol City to have a simalar style and success rate with youth players. Just 1 from the production line would be nice. Thats 5 yrs in the championship now and not 1 regular produced in that time although wilson looks like hes nearly there. Northern Red
Phillips did what Phillips does, some excellent saves, whilst looking nervous at anything crossed in to the box. Agree that Crewe were impressive, I particularly liked the lad up front, Leitch-Smith.

pikeysrobins
Always liked Steve Phillips! Not everyone's favourite particularly after moving on to play for the Gas!! I will always remember him for the penalty double save against Everton (2mins 35 secs). Unbelievable!! Crap at crosses though! [media=]
Brizzle Jordan
Roberts, Lita, Doherty, Murray... What a team we had back then.
TRL
Roberts, Lita, Doherty, Murray... What a team we had back then. Aye a team full of piss heads and smokers, but at least the entertainment was better.
Rich-TWSC-
Didn't think the game was that good. Crewe deserved the win and Southend moaned... a lot.
myol'man
Check the stats, the points total at the time and the final points totals of the relegated teams, and I think you'll find that it was Steve Philips penalty save at the rugby ground that sent the gas down! ciderup
The stop in the second half when he dropped at two strikers feet was impressive. He never let us down but I can't forgive him for playing for them against us. Decent keeper TBF.
Rednready
Then of course we have Elliot Benyon, out with injury and just returned. Was on the Southend bench and may yet get a start or appearance. He is small but always gave his best for us. I hope he gets a chance and does well. Phillips was a good reflex keeper in league 1, but never controlled the box.
