He was average towards the end of the season. He wasn't brilliant. 4 or 5 average games in a season is miles from being good enough.

All that settling in rubbish.. he's 26 and hasn't moved country. He's moved from S****horpe to Bristol. It's hardly Dubai to Ethiopia.

How do you account for the fact Woolford was a very accomplished Championship midfielder at S****horpe?

A midfielder who had scored 8 goals in 27 apps. when we signed him last January.

He's obviously got something about him even though we've only seen the odd glimpse at City.

Change of area, change of club, no it shouldn't make a player lose confidence and form but clearly some players are detrimentally affected.

Almost all players need settling in time at a new club, that doesn't mean they will never settle.

The fact he scored 8 goals for S****horpe doesn't make me think wow we have to hold on to him he must have something..

He's been given enough chances at City and he has far from looked good enough to be the answer to our left wing problems. He is not good enough imo, far from it. Everytime he has the ball he looks as though he has no idea what he's going to do with it and never gets his head up.

Not to count the abuse he has recieved from 'supporters'. All he needs is time and now I believe things can only get better for him.

His form did pick up. It couldn't get any worse yet he was still below average. Not good enough if we're looking to at least gain a 16th to 12th berth next year. If we're all happy for another relegation battle then give him a further 12 month extension. He'll then come into his own in League 1 no doubt.
