Exactly my thoughts!

He was cleared!

He's many things but he's no racist!

Maybe a slightly nieve approach to what's except able

Firstly I'm guessing that the racist part was angled at Rio, not Terry. Laughing at a racist joke makes you racist.

Secondly the fact that Terry was cleared of the racist offence certainly does not mean he isn't racist.

No it's not, this was made quite clear by the commission and the FA. Looking at BBC report of the matter I find it hard to understand why Ferdinand has been fined.

Well the term coconut, same meaning as choc ice is a racist term, as found out in law courts in Bristol When Shirley Brown was sacked charged and sentenced.

As for Ferdinand, does laughing and re tweeting someone elses comment make you a racist or guilty of using racial slurs? Dunno, hard one to call.

Not according to the FA

In bringing their charge, the FA made it clear they did not feel Ferdinand was a racist, rather that he had acted improperly.

In a statement outlining their decision, the commission said: "The Football Association clearly states that this is not an allegation that Mr Ferdinand is a racist, concedes that he is not a racist but contends that his conduct in endorsing @carltonEbanks tweet in a public forum is a term of abuse and brought the game into disrepute."

Abusive, yes, racist no.
