westonred
A 6 foot left winger who likes to cut in and score, has a sweet left foot and is great at set pieces. Could new boy Steve Davies be the new 'Walshie' ? Welcome to BS3 Steve i hope you will be as successfull as Walshie was.

Guest Park End Boy
He will need to watch some vids of walshie in action to perfect the shuffle !
Super
Alan Walsh proved that you didn't need pace to be a quality winger. Who had the better left foot him or Tinnion??

spudski
Loved watching Walshie play...but I hope Davies is a damn sight better player. We are a Championship team and we need good quality Championship players, not those of the calibre of league 1 sides... We all often wear rose tinted glasses of past players who were mostly playing in a lower league.

He turned down Wimbledon once to stay in Bristol.
TRL
Davies has a mediocre strike rate from the wing... Unlike walshie
Guest Rowley Birkin
Walshy played for Besiktas at the top level in Turkey, and in the U.E.F.A. cup, and he's still a legend! Let's hope if Davies is as popular as Alan was, the club at least have the decency and repect to thank him for 16 years service.
ashton_fan
Walshie could easily have played at Championship level, he scores one of his classic type of goals cutting in from the left in this FA Cup tie in 1986: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPnr2kNGQWY
