Jordan Tansley
Plagarism is not imaginative Jordan. City fans have proved to be an imaginative bunch. No need to contrive "springyness" just let it happen. Really? Because as far as I can see City are currently losing £12m a year and have crowds of less than 13k... It doesn't take a genius to work out that the commercial department has a pretty massive role to play in trying to bridge the gap between revenue and expenditure and one such way they can achieve that is by promoting the club through 'gimmicks' like this. Or do you think those debts will disappear organically?
steviestevieneville
#makeitcheaper #footballorfood? If you book online in advance it's about £21 . I realise it can still be expensive but i think we are the cheapest in the championship.
Sixtyseconds
One of the best marketing tools I can think of is a noisy and colourful support free of plastic gimmicks Jordan. Jordan Tansley
One of the best marketing tools I can think of is a noisy and colourful support free of plastic gimmicks Jordan. Explore the revenue opportunities there. Yes? Really. Well, make it happen then. Hardly anything more the club can do within realistic realms, they've made a visible effort this season to give fans more and it's up to the apathetic masses to come do what you just said. Quite frankly, the club cannot afford to wait for the fans to come of their own accord, this is a lighthearted and (judging by the general consensus) funny ploy to entice more fans to the gate. Why you see any issue with that is beyond comprehension.

nickolas
Such a narrow minded response. Narrow minded? U r joking i assume? Bristol football is a joke. 43000 to cardiff and wembley for the glory games, approx 11000 hardcore fans for the gate. I xpect the moneys tight bullsh1t will be the standard 'excuse' for such poor turnouts for so so many years? People say theyl come back when results improve? Well sorry i dont want you there if you only come back when its 'better'. I'd rather 11000 that want to be there nomatter what than the extra 6000 that are only there cos its a big game or we're doing well. Bristol football, the bristol public, will only back something thats good. Norwich, Ipswich, towns with smaller catchment than us sell over 20000 season tickets per season, we struggle to 10000!! To be honest, the investment Sir Lansdown has put in, yes thats the playing side plus covering all debts, if i were him i'd be distraught at the lack of numbers through the turnstiles. He cares, he puts a lot of money in one way or the other, yet we ( not me ) cant get down there and support. Im ashamed to be a proud bristolian supporting my team when most would rather go shopping with the missus than get to the gate every fortnight!!! We arent newcastle etc but my god do they support their team. We will always be an unfancied team around the country as its clear to see the majority of the bristol public couldnt give a t0ss. As for the #packthegate - fantastic!!! A bit of humour but with a serious message of get your arses down here!!!!

cider head
Plagarism is not imaginative Jordan. City fans have proved to be an imaginative bunch. No need to contrive "springyness" just let it happen. Plagarism.. Interesting word that... What is Plagarism? Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work, or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense: According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's ownto use (another's production) without crediting the sourceto commit literary theftto present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source. In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward. All of the following are considered plagiarism:turning in someone else's work as your owncopying words or ideas from someone else without giving creditfailing to put a quotation in quotation marksgiving incorrect information about the source of a quotationchanging words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving creditcopying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work, whether you give credit or not.. http://www.plagiaris...plagiarism.html The words pride, passion & belief and Bring your scarves and flags sound very familiar to our wording for our campaign last season! Glad the club have got on board with @ForzaRevolution http://www.bcfc3lions.co.uk/page52.html Flags have been out since 2007 but very much ignored, why the fuss now? even if we got our flags back out they don't fit the EE segregation area now due to branding on the netting that can't be covered and much less space.. To be fair the die hards will always be there but if the team did the biz on the pitch the floating fans would return

Ipswich and Norwich are far more successful teams than we are - both in my lifetime have been in the Prem, been in Europe (Ipswich winning silverware) and have had internationals (England and otherwise) in their line-ups. Same with Forest - European Cup and Prem winners. You cannot compare City with these clubs. If we had won the Play Off Final we would have sold out AG every week and if we had stayed in the top flight for several years those people would have become season ticket holders. Lots of ifs but that is why our fan base is lower than the likes of Norwich and Ipswich.

Not everyone is going to be die hard but when they do come they have to be embraced. The amount of abuse dolled out to 'new supporters' in the play-off final season was embarrassing, they were chastised for glory hunting yet people complained when gates went back down to normal, you can't have it both ways. Unfortunately not everyone will watch City when we're playing badly and since the play-off final we've done that nearly exclusively so not many stuck around. Welcome everyone to the gate no matter when or how often they come.
Cowshed
There is a difference between getting more bodies in the ground v vocal support. Bounce around was best left in the past. Those with a bit of terrace nouse would have remembered it just turned into speed bouncing with fans ceasing to take part, The least commercialised part of Ashton Gate tends to be/is the most vocal. A nod to that identity would be leaving it to itself.

All rather strange to me. mmmmmmmm A group of fans in the EE have been doing flyers, flags, rally calls ''BRING THE NOISE'' (on line fanzine) since the stand was re-opened with very little recognition or help, yes there was permission to do art work and flags but it was never given the fuss that we are seeing now? at times it was a right ball ache getting any communication going even about access to the ground to put flags out. ''When the moonshines'' ''Forza eastend'' ''Eastend ultras'' all been at this self promotion since 2007 with little help!! And stuff i've read on twitter has me bemused that some out there actually think they have reinvented the wheel with all this?? it's all good getting support going but credit where credit is due and i have done my bit to help.. You have to wonder why the club are so excited about all this now, when in the Eastend it appeared a battle most of the time. What makes forza revolution so different to the club? I would personally like to know. The club have lost something massive in the Eastend, if they treated it properly from the start, it could of been something very special now. It also makes me think more and more, that the club do not want old school fans, but would much rather have grown adults in replica shirts etc
