Dollymarie
Didn't this happen to him before? Dolls knows the details. It did, sorted a card signed by lots on here, and sent it to Ajax. Never heard owt back though. He got fitted with an internal defibrillator so if his heart did it again, the defib would kick in and save him, as its done in this case.

InCider
Get well soon Evander. Agree with others that life is much more important than footie, so probably time to call an end to the playing career, but all the best in whatever you decide to do. Red-Robbo
Sad news indeed. I think retirement and very careful medical assessment is, alas, the only option here.

FanaticRed
Players/sportsman with African makeup seem to be dropping like flies lately, its a stat that is becoming quite alarming, apparently its been scientifically proven that anyone with African blood have a higher chance of suffering from a Heart Attack/Cardiac Arrest (Both different if anyone is wondering) than your average joe! Technology is fast advancing and we're finding new way of tackling 'most' conditions either chemically or mechanically, however each time an episode of this nature takes place it can have adverse effects on the body and of course the heart itself, making it more difficult to control/rectify the condition at hand! All the best Evander, as i said further up, RETIRE FROM THE GAME, there is more to life than kicking a ball around for 90 minutes, honestly!
