And Its Smith
Personal and formation is completely irrelevant if the players don't show commitment, passion and pride. They also don't matter if they contain Fontaine and/or Elliott. These two must be nowhere near the team, not even on the bench.

nedbcfc
don't forget that all of these line ups must accommodate for Fontaine, Foster and Pearson no matter what, any others are redundant; let's be realistic, he's not gonna drop the magic trio
Red-Robbo
got to be 4-2-3-1 with Davies as the attackng midfielder (talent, guts, goals, can pass) and Pearson and Danns sitting a bit more: -----------------------Gerken------------------------ Foster---------Bates--------Carey (if fit) ---------Bryan ------------------Danns--------Pearson------------- Adomah-----------------Davies-----------------------Anderson -------------------------Baldock Don't mind this. Better than those formations which put Albert behind the striker. He's proved countless times he can't run through a crowded central area.

Stops Pearson going too far forward and NOT GETTING BACK. a "Front" 4 that can pass and score.
RedorDead BCFC
To truly judge Del he needs to have faith in his signings some youth with one from the previous regime -------------------------Heaton-------------------------- Foster----Bates-------------D.Wilson-----Bryan Adomah---Danns ---------Reid------Anderson -------------------------Davies----------------------- -------------------------Baldock---------------------- Maybe swap Foster with M.Wilson. Bambie on Ice should not play just because some say he gets forward, his head is like a 50p no one knows which direction the ball is going. Kilkenny is never to wear a city shirt again, no wonder Leeds fans were pissing themselves that someone bought him. Fontaine should be made to watch DVD's of all our last 20 games plus the extra comedy out takes which are mostly staring him. And if anybody says who's going to be defensive in that midfield. 1 question who is that's doing it so far?

Northampton Red
Slate the midfield all you want but I'd go for: Heaton Foster Bates D Wilson Bryan/GC Albert Danns Reid Anderson Davies Baldock May as well attack.... Agree with this-time to stop playing Fontaine, Elliott etc. Play 4-4-2 attacking, regardless of how 'weak' the midfield may be. If we play 4-5-1 and lose 4-1 at home then might as well start taking the game to the opposition more. Was happier when we were scoring goals and losing as opposed to the dross served up at the moment.
The Original OTIB
it really isn't a 4-5-1 matter. Davies behind Baldock is a MUST. BUT::: 4-2-3-1 ... A DEEPER 2 (protection in our very own corridor of EXTREME UNCERTAINTY) with Davies free to get about the pitch and pick a pass or 2 to Baldy

chipdawg
As someone else has mentioned in relation to Fontaine, anyone who was there on Saturday wouldn't be picking Elliot in central midfield, though I'm still struggling for alternatives. Pearson perhaps, though that's not exactly filling me with alternatives
