sglosbcfc
It seems a hundred years ago now, but a few seasons back when City were topping the Championship and Gary Johnson's men looked unbeatable, my brother and I had an argument about what we would rather have for City if we could only one - promotion to the Premier League or winning the FA cup? I argued for the Premier League as I said the money could take us to a whole new level where we could be challenging for the Cups every season. My brother argued FA cup as he said it was a major trophy that would always be ours and could never be taken away. So forget this season's gloom, what would you rather FA cup winners or Premier League football next season? P.s I know we'd all take Championship survival now. Red_Jim
FA Cup and our first and possibly only major trophy would be priceless. The Prem is overrated, and we'd just come straight back down.
beaverface
Got to be FA Cup. We've never ever won it, so if we had the opportunity to win it, it would be a once in a lifetime chance that we'd have to take.
WolfOfWestStreet
Silverware any day. That day in the sun will last forever, prem football inevitably will not.
Gazred
Well said all. The romance of the cup maybe dead to the big clubs these days but for a side like ours its still the stuff dreams are made of. Our cup form has been awful since we can no longer enter the Freight Rover/LDV/JP/Idontevenknowhatitscalledthisseason Trophy.

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
FA Cup winners OR the chance to get dicked weekly for loads of cash? I'd choose the FA Cup.
Aaron-Bcfc
I'm going to disagree with the majority and go with promotion to the premier league, I feel the FA cup is become less and less important every year and I know premier league football probably wouldn't last long but seeing players like Rooney and Hazard down Ashton gate every week would be fantastic. MichaelRobartes
Definitely an FA cup win. I've never been particularly bothered about the Premier League, I can't wait until the bigger clubs form a European super league and the rest of us can get on with playing football. I think the Championship is a very exciting league, it's just a shame we're so poor at the moment.
Welcome To The Jungle
FA cup. Not only will it always be ours, but we would get into Europe, attract good players and then get promoted to the Championship, then to the Prem. Cardiff got to the final a few years back and have flirted with promotion ever since...as much as i hate to say it

Brizzle Jordan
FA Cup for sure. Atleast then I can say I've seen a top Bristol City team win a major domestic trophy.

Robin101
FA Cup if we beat several top teams along the way and someone like Man U in the final. However, imagine how great the rest of this season will be if we get promoted!
