BS4 on Tour...
This is interesting! This link shows all the home kits we've ever had...... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_City/Bristol_City.htm
RedZepperin
Very interesting indeed! The current kit is one of my least favourites from that lot. Would be nice to reprise the Bedminster kit at some stage for a third choice design or something.

Aizoon
Is this really the only kit ever with black in the shirt? I couldn't remember one, but I only go back to 1961...
Tom
07-08 is definitely my favourite from my time supporting city.
Esmond Million's Bung
My favourite is the 58/62 V neck with the big badge? But come on let's be totally honest apart from a couple of notable exceptions in the main the whole list is pretty unimaginative really.
Lew-T
1894-1895 is disgusting! Rather have the Bradford lookalike.
Lew-T
Also does anybody notice the 49/50 kit? It has a robin on it. I only thought we had that through the 70s and 80s.
Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
The 2001/2002 home and away kits are probably my two favourite City kits in my 26 years of support. Classy shirts with a collar.
kmpowell
My favourite (by far!) Home and Away are the 89/90 promotion season shirts, here are mine which I got out last week in tribute to Bob Taylor's appearance at the gate... 22A
Also does anybody notice the 49/50 kit? It has a robin on it. I only thought we had that through the 70s and 80s. It does seem that every so often the club changes from Robin to coat of arms and then some years later changes again. If you look at Norwich they've stuck with their canary, but embellished it over the years. City's 49 robin looked to the right, that of 1976 to the left. If Chesterfield ever qualify for Europe, they ought to bring back their 1892-93 kit.
22A
20 years ago the EP showed six styles of shirts and fans were able to vote for their favourite.design which City would then wear for a three- five years. One of the designs was for red & white quarters. That received the least votes.
beaverface
1894-1895 is disgusting! Rather have the Bradford lookalike. Notice that we had blue in our kit before the gash? They didn't have blue until 1897 !!
stevecity86
I really like this years home shirt, best home kit for at least 10 years imo, but imagine the club will probably revert back to red and white for next season as it doesn't appear to be too popular. I would love to see a purple & lime shirt again, maybe the club should release it as a third shirt then all the fans calling for it will be able to get one and all those that really dislike those colours will not have to watch the team play in them very much! Eco
We shouldn't have black in the kit, 32/33 went 49 games without a clean sheet, 81/82 relegation, 12/13 struggling somewhat.

I only thought we had that through the 70s and 80s. i just wonder whether that is the first incidence of a robin badge on any british football club. I really think we need the spirit of these feisty little f######s at the moment. After all its christmas soon. Lets get the bring back the robin campaign back on track its sure to cheer us all up. From the RSPB site http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/r/robin/index.aspx The UK's favourite bird - with its bright red breast it is familar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. Our recent playoff season is my favourite City shirt since following us in 95, although the 96 Sanderson kit with the collar was a decent one aswell. redsquirrel
I don't like the fact there is no white in this current kit, City play in red and white. my thoughts too, would prefer home and away in the white shirt with red shorts,at least its the right colours. black is depressing, just like us in general this season
