From how he set up at Doncaster I'd guess;

..........................Heaton.........................

Foster.......Carey.......Fontaine.....Cunningham

.................Skuse.......Kilkenny...................

..........................Kelly................................

........Davies.........................Anderson......

........................Baldock............................

That's the exact team I would play!

Word is Baldock is still not ready and is likely to be on the bench. Perhaps Burns will be given a chance from the start after his exciting 2nd half performance last week ? Agree that Kilkenny will be given his chance under SOD and Anderson is a shoein for one of the wide spots.

I'm not sure that Burns will start having said that there is no real pace in our team except from Foster and Anderson something I think can be important when you are the away team trying to score on the break.

For me, it's all about playing Skuse at right back! Am I the only one who thinks he's played some of his best games there?

It's true. He kept 3-4 players specialised in that position out of the team then and did well.

But the 'round pegs in round holes' comment would suggest that there really wont be any surprises tomorrow,

and then SOD sees how slow Carey is now, and how calamity-ridden fonts and foster is.

Then who know's what is next...new signings I hope.

Hasn't Bates contract run out? Correct me if I'm wrong, but just wondered why people have him down in their starting line up!?

It has and he hasn't travelled..

I said so in post #9 but people ignored it and somehow still seem to think he'll play.

Well from the picture i sneaked from yesterdays training looks like we are going for a new back four.

Four cool heads but may struggle if Leeds turn the heat up.

Not really sure what formation or line up he's going to play but I think if he's going to play 433 or 451 the wide players are going to be those who can pose an attacking threat. Hence, I can't really see Bryan or Pearson playing wide and it'd be likely to be a front 3 of Anderson - Baldock - Davies, obviously with Stead or Taylor filling in if Sam isn't fit. I think the central midfield picks itself to a certain extent, given SOD's penchant for passing, possession football I can only really see Kilkenny, Skuse and possibly Ried fitting in (I haven't seen Kelly to make a judgement on his passing) as Elliot and to a lesser extent Pearson, can't pass water. The defence is anyone's guess, though a lot depends on the availability of Bates I imagine. My beat guess would be;

Heaton

Foster - Carey - Fonts - Cunningham

Reid - Skuse - Kilkenny

Davies - Baldock - Anderson
