I see that Ian Cottle managed 939 consecutive games which is incredible.

Does anyone else take the time to record how many times they've watched City over the years, consecutively or not, or even kept a win/draw/loss stat ?!

Never counted how many games I've seen but over 40+ seasons it must be over a 1000. On average its about 30 games a season. There were times in the 70's when I went home and away but haven't done that for years.

Ian Cottle's 939 consecutive games is truly remarkable and I wonder how many fans of other clubs could match it. None of the guys I drink with before the game knew Ian but we were chatting about his amazing record and all agreed on one word - 'respect'.

Must say even though I have never met Mr Cottle , that was when of the best minutes applauses I've ever seen.

The announcer couldn't even get to the part where he said 'join us in applause' as BOTH sets of supporters were well into a standing ovation and applause.

On the subject of games seen, I think I must have seen about 225 to 250 city games over a 13 year period.
