Red-Robbo
Match fitness comes by playing games. I'd start him and if he's blowing after 60-75 mins, off he comes with more minutes in the bank. This. I I didn't see any signs of Davies tiring on Saturday. Providing he seems fit enough in training I'd start him alongside Baldock. two nine-goal strikers. And differing styles too, the slight but pacy whippet next to the tough-as-an-ox, in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time poacher.
sunningdalered
I may have totally misunderstood some of SO'Ds comments, but hasn't he used the example of a previous occassion where he looked at an opponents strengths and tried to negate them through by-passing the midfield. If he tried this one again tonight, against a team who are recognised as strong in the middle, we could see a fair amount of quick, long-ball delivery between our back four and front men - which would suggest an extra forward, rather than clogging-up the midfield? It would also suggest a lot of long, mis-directed passes
TBW
I'd rather Baldock over Stead but think it'll be this: ----------------------- Heaton --------------------------------- Moloney ------- Carey -- Fontaine ------- Cunningham ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------- Skuse --- Elliott --------------------------- - Kelly -------------------------------------------- Anderson - ------------------- Stead -- Davies --------------------------- SUBS: Gerken, Wilson, Foster, Pearson, Bryan, Burns, Baldock.
