Show Me The Money!
Whilst every other topic is moaning and groaning about this and that I thought I'd post a positive comment. I think we may have a real gem in Gillespie and that he could be the goal machine a lot us feel we need. Along with Leroy we could have a very frightening strikeforce Think positive ps. Danny, judging by a lot of the comments on this forum regarding your future I'd try this strikeforce sooner rather than later as you maybe out on your arse before you get a chance to see Just a word of advice
ziderhead2003
I hope he is good.
cider head
could be good, but wilson will leave him on the bench and say he is not ready yet then give him 3 minutes from time off the subs bench, then the next 5 games in the reserves. hmmmm sounds like another one of our young strikers. Robbored
Along with Leroy we could have a very frightening strikeforce I can't see the cautious Wilson playing with three up front.Gillespie,Lita and Golden Boy.
Wardie
gillespie with anyone would be good as long as he scores goals!
Ashcott Boy
If Gillespie is the type of player to score goals he would be a good partner for Peacock who would do all the donkey work and then set up Gillespie.
StapleHillPhil
Has anybody seen the lad in action? Is he a replacement for Peacock/Miller or is he more in the Roberts/Lita mould?
Cidergal
He does look an exciting prospect. I'm just hoping that Danny will give him a few games to come into his game and that us fans don't start getting on his back if he doesn't immediately start scoring lots of goals. Guest stevey2005
i think they should at least try roberts/gillespie and gillespie/lita in the pre-season friendlies
Guest bcfcsols
My mates seen him for the reserves. He recommended him even before Danny started showing an interest! I think hes quite a different striker from what we have already, which can oly be a good thing

Bigdave60
Has anybody seen the lad in action? Is he a replacement for Peacock/Miller or is he more in the Roberts/Lita mould? I saw Gillespie in all of the reserve games he played at the Gate. I think he will be the best forward we have seen in years. He has two good feet, takes up fantastic positions OFF the ball. And has a shot to match. From comments made by Wilson I expect this lad to feature in the first team next season. I hope the fans take to him, my only reservation is he probably needs to build himself up to make a sustained impact against 2nd Div defenders. foghornred
One of the reasons that he signed for us is that Wilson was after him before Liverpool showed him the door. Lets hope that he's as good as Danny thinks he is!
B-Rizzle
Along with Leroy we could have a very frightening strikeforce Yeah could do but I can't see them playing together for a couple of years. Might pop down the reserves to see them together in action.
