It is just so clubs, the Police and local authorities can make amendments if they wish. For example; Some years ago City were originally scheduled to play Colchester away on the afternoon of August Bank Holiday. The Police had a jazz festival to cope with that day, so had the match moved to the Tuesday night. Far less visiting fans as a result which meant less work for the police.
