One Team In Keynsham
Mick has had his last count out.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/wrestling/22622647 My parents and sister used to love the wrestling at the Colston Hall. And my dad was obsessed with it on World of Sport Saturday afternoons, broadcast from fabulous locales like Basingstoke Leisure Centre and the obligatory granny at ringside, smacking the bad guy with her handbag. You beat me to it! Good innings - 93. My dad was obsessed with ITV's wrestling on a saturday afternoon in the 60's when I was a kid. Mick McManus was a regular with his cropped hair and black budgie smugglers. I always remember Billy Two Rivers with his Mohican which at the time was an awesome sight. He'd do a war dance around his fallen opponent. Later Kendo Nagasaki arrived with his mysterious mask. Nostalgia's not what it used to be.

Talking of Billy Two Rivers brings me to one of sport's stranger facts, and that is that Billy is the father of Wayne Hemingway, the fashion designer. Like father, like son, eh?
