As a Bristol City fundamentalist I refuse to visit the gappers' web site. Could someone post an image of the offending shirt on here please?

I assume the general 'look' they're going for hasn't change from 'Tesco carrier-bag'?

They're going to pick up a few injuries this year if they play without boots on!!

They stole their ground, they even stole their song - now it seems the bloc paving soecialists from the wilds of South Glos are trying to steal the colour red!

New shirt unveiled with a huge RED sponsor on the front!

Forever in our shadow!

I know the owner of the company, he entered a raffle at £1k a time and ended up winning twice ! Home shirt and Stand sponsor.

His logo is red and to be fair was adamant it was staying that way.

Those with a sharp eye will also notice the name at Cardiff / Swansea's grounds, WSM shirt sponsor and also sponsor at Somerset Cricket

Can't really see what the fuss is about.

I would never wear a football shirt personally, I find it a bit sad, however I actually quite like the away shirt but think the club have been very short sighted in spending all their primark vouchers on kit and not leaving room in the budget for boots.

Oh and using a ginger for modelling tut tut, unless it's lily cole!

Really? A full topic about their new shirts and the colour of their sponsor? Red is one of the few colours that stands out on multiple colours like blue and white like that... And we say they're obsessed with us!

I have no problem with a red sponsor, some do. Our very first sponsor Toshiba was a red logo if I recall correctly, and the first year of Design Windows at Twerton was red. The main point of controversy about the home kit is not the colour of the sponsors logo, but the round collar. Not many liking that.

The away kit has been very divisive on Twitter, about a 50/50 split between lovers and haters. Personally I like it, better than the usual yellows or blacks you see everywhere these days.

I think their home kit is ok too given that it is fairly traditional and not as garish as some. Doubt the tiny splash of red across the chest is going to induce six fingered hysteria. Away kit is decent too. As stated elsewhere, it is only ruined by the club badge.....

I may be a tad prejudiced but the blue and white quarter thing is up there as one of the worst football shirt designs in the world.

I suppose you're stuck with it now though.

Ladies & Gentlemen.

Why are you so obsessed with the new kit of a club who you no longer see as your rivals? A whole new thread on the morning the new kit is revealed.. Oh dear.

Anyway, I'm off to weigh - in some scrap I picked up earlier, then I have to change a wheel on the caravan.

Nail on head with the opening 6 words ;)

I may also be biased but it's different, unique and instantly recognisable. Take the badge off your kit each season and most people would struggle to identify who it belongs to, take the badge off ours and most will still be able to identify as 'Bristol Rovers'. I wouldn't swap our colours for the world.

Considering many people haven't heard of Bristol Rovers I doubt that statement is true, Many would say Blackburn

adult kit for £39 while ours are going for £45 - ok adidas is a more well known brand, but thats pretty disappointing to see

re: their kits, home is an absolute amateur mess but away is fine, probably better than ours

£39? jeez they will sell at least 10.

I think of Aravaca. The blue shorts help to offset the silly "harlequin" shirt design:
