Corner Routines

Did anyone notice out new corner routines last night. Thought the way that we mixed them up and kept palace guessing was brilliant. Reid, Bryan and JET all taking them, with several indicators for each corner routine. 3 bounces of the ball for front post. 2 hands in the air for back post etc...

Well worked from the training ground.

SoD said in his post match interview that he allows the players to work out their own corner routines and when to use them. Responsibility he calls it and that City should have scored from the first corner of the night.

I thought they'd looked at set pieces in training - as a way of trying to catch Palace if they were any good and we had to rely on set pieces. I liked the floated to the back post and headed back accross goal routine as players get sucked in to ball watching and anyone can cause mayhem when it comes back.

JET's throw works like a corner too which causes panic when a defender wants to clear the ball - this is an asset and thankfully not one we rely entirely on!
