sodburyred
Dont understand the love for Appleton. What has he ever done to make him appealing? Went to Portsmouth when they were skint? Got relegated I think? Jumped ship to Blackpool then to Blackburn? Got sacked? Is that all right?

Got relegated I think? Jumped ship to Blackpool then to Blackburn? Got sacked? Is that all right? I have to agree with you. Appleton gained a reputation as a good coach at WBA but has had THREE managerial posts, granted none for very long, and done nothing to set the world alight. Mendip City
My bet is that they have someone already lined up That's the logical explanation for the timing. They've been working on it for a few weeks - results just happen to have picked up a bit. Appointment mon or tue next week would confirm your suspicion. Phileas Fogg
He also has some very questionable political views and whilst that shouldn't have any effect on him doing a job it's obvious that it causes conflict as many people have refused to work with him because of them meaning it limits the amount of people willing to work with him. Out of interest who has refused to work with him?
