1960maaan
Yes so do I. Standing and getting soaking wet when it rained. Couldn't see a thing if a tall bloke stood in front of me because the terracing angle was too slight. Now I stay dry and can actually see the match! Not always a good thing lately !! It has been a trade off, same all over, the view and facilities improve and the atmosphere is diminished. I've been in the EE lately and the view is poor (even stood up) but my early days in there are among my favorite and I don't think I saw any of our 4 goals against Sunderland on my first solo visit to the Gate. IF and it's a big if , we get safe standing I hope it will go some way to bringing back the atmosphere. I loved the old days of EE,Williams enclosure and the Park end singing , could be quite intimidating for away fans/teams.
littlerobin
Not likely to happen. Even Forest Green Rovers have got a more modern ground than City. You'll have to go down to e.g. Mangotsfield' s level to find grounds as run down as the old Ashton Gate. Surely the Mem is more run down then ours back then? it looks like hell in there
