With the forward quality we've got in our team perhaps a more attacking game would suit us against teams with less 'quality' I think to unlock the true potential of our strikeforce we need to play with proper wingers, not wing backs, players that will defend but whose primary objective is to get the ball into the box and take defenders on. Wagstaff may not be the quickest but is a very intelligent winger who links up well when Baldock is running the channels other than that we don't have the personnel to be much more attacking - I can't see Cotterill throwing Burns or Bryan in from the amount of game time they've both had so far Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm definitely glass half full, but we are hopeless short in the winger department. If you wanted to go with a 4-2-3-1 (a la Chelsea) then we've only really got Burns and Waggy to fill the wide positions. That means dropping Bobby and Barnett from your diamond. But pack was awful the other night, not sure what to make of him really, and bryan is possibly too lightweight for a 4 man midfield, we could do with wade's experience imo! To be honest, I just don't know enough about Wade Ellliott's ability and fitness - you might well be right though! Pack is a tough one. I agree he struggles at times but I just think he's got a bit more to his game than Marv. It's a tight one and I wouldn't be that upset if Marv started instead though...
