Playoffs

Either you're being negative and considering our possibility at bouncing back to this level next year from League Two, or I'd advise having a bit of a lie down...  ;)

I'd be delighted with a finish around where we are just now; anything higher than 15th would be a great achievement, and set us up nicely for next year, but feel that we're probably as high as we're gonna get right now, which is enough for me.

Ah! The one-good-win / playoffs thread rears its head again.

The answer is simple maths.

1. Check out our current points.

2. Check the number of points the 6th placed team has.

Subtract 1. from 2.

Add to this number the maximum points we will get when we win every game until the end of the season, and assume everyone else loses all their games.

Can we do it??

Good thread - keep this standard up!

Ok, appreciate this thread is a wind up (hope it is) but am going to play along.......

Our current tally is 31 points

"maximum points we will get when we win every game until the end of the season"......we have 15 games left, maximum points tally (45) plus current tally = 76 points

6th placed team has 48 points

"and assume everyone else loses all their games"

76 points has got you in the play-offs in this league for all but 1 of the last 10 seasons

Please, please, please.......do not think for one minute I think this is going to happen, just arguing the "simple maths" theory

It's possible, although extremely unlikely obviously. Similar things have been done before though and I still believe we've got one of the best squads in the league on paper.

Right now I'd be thrilled with 2 wins in a row, let alone 15 though!

That is our aim. This stage of the season there ain't no thinking about it.

We are right in a relegation fight.

I don't think West Ham are thinking Champions League either..,.

But they have no chance whatsoever of pulling that off

The mighty Bristol City on the other hand

Wembley

Wembley

We're the famous Bristol City

And we're off to Wembley
