Aizoon
Totally agree, but no bugger will listen. It doesn't help that some seem to have a 5 minute attention span

So they can only be called must wins if something is on the line in that particular game?

JamesBCFC
No doubt today was a game that would have helped massively if we'd won, but of you'd offered me 3 points from today's game and Tuesday's game I'd have taken it, it seems some are happy when we are poor because then they can have a good old moan
petehinton
We were brought level by an absolute worldy goal. Draw was a fair result. The way some fans are reacting it's as if we just lost 6-
Lrrr
Takes us a point further away from the drop, while disappointing to have lost the lead twice we could have lost to make it all the worse. Keep gaining points and we should be okay, there are definitely 4 worse teams in this division and then there are teams like Crawley who despite games in hand will have to play potentially 2/3 games a week soon to fit their fixtures in. Squire Dastardly
Bill Shankly once said "Never under-estimate the value of a point won at home". We gained a point on most of our rivals in the bottom half of the table. Can everyone please stop calling games "must win" until we actually play a game that we "must win" to stay up. Thanks. +1 A point is a point is a point.
westred1
It's about people's expectations. We beat Orient Tuesday and suddenly a side who haven't strung two wins together in a row for a long time are expected to win. Tranmere are also scrapping for points down the bottom with us so it was hardly going to be an advert of brilliant football. Cotterill saying it was the "biggest game of the season" was wrong in his approach. Adding more pressure on a group of players knowing that they are fairly low on confidence isn't a wise move. Whatever he said at Orient should've been his message this time out and maybe we'd see a much more relaxed playing side.
TNBT
Personally I reckon the players can't handle the pressure that's why we won Tuesday as they wasn't expected too so performed freely & got a result.

REDOXO
Keep saying must win does not make it so and just piles pressure on our team. Sheffield Utd would be a good game to get something, but we won't be relegated in Feb. today was disappointing in view of Tuesday but other results went our way so it's a positive day in our relegation fight. Traditionally Bramhall Lane is not a good place for us, but next week is a new day and it would be agreat time to change our luck. 5 goals in two games is very positive! Instead, why not focus on the Orient result and performance. We do make it difficult for ourselves. However, not many games ago, we may have lost this game, whereas now we do have fight. Coupled with our occasional games of goof flowing football, I believe we will stay up.

JamesBCFC
You are such a ******* bell sniff. So they can only be called must wins if something is on the line in that particular game? Well, yeah thats the reason why its must win. Obviously the aim is to win every game, but that isn't going to happen for any team.

Harry
Today may not have been a "must win" as such, but the home games we have remaining this season are ever more important. If we want any hope of staying up we have to get at least another 16 points minimum. We have 7 home games left, so, based on our away form and performances in the last 5 years, we really need to get as many points as we can from these 7 home games. Every time we DO NOT win a home match against a fellow relegation candidate, makes our task more difficult. Today we had the chance to give ourselves some breathing space - we didn't take it, thus we are still suffocating ourselves and still need 5 wins. ChippenhamRed
By this definition every league game we ever play would be "must win", therefore rendering the phrase meaningless anyway.
