pongo88
The forum is a place where people can express their opinions. If people feel that they have paid hard earned money and in return have received sub standard football (for the last 2-3) years they are entitled to express that opinion. If, on the other hand, people feel that everything is wonderful, they are entitled to say that as well.

ashton_fan
Unfortunately there's always been a good number of moaners at the games, a number of them probably have problems outside of football and come to games to let off steam. The only good point about the team having a poor run of form is that most of them stop turning up and you actually get a better atmosphere with a small crowd! Eco
The anti SC brigade distraught that their team won a football match under him?? I think it's only a very small % of fanbase that are either pro or anti any Manager. Most turn up every other Saturday watch the performance on the pitch then depart with their opinion on the match and how the players performed. Oxford Red
I don't think we have any more or less than any other mid tier or range football club. My best mate said its also a constant issue at Watford, that there is now an expectation to blow everyone away 4-0 with a brand of passing flowing football and when it doesn't happen people moan. I think I am neither a moaner nor a happy clapper. More I pay my money, go down there and will base whether I am happy or displeased based on what I see. I got fed right up at the end of the SOD era because I was seeing truly awful football and poor results to boot - stuck firmly in the relegation zone. I had every right to moan in my opinion. But it wasn't preformed before I went. Also another thing I'd add is potentially the likes of my dad - they have seen what I would call proper football down there. Liverpool. Everton, Man U etc all for league football matches. Therefore watching the dross that is lower end L1 football is probably somewhat of a very very poor comparison. I hope the team doesn't take any notice. If they do City will end up in the Conference South with a fantastic atmosphere at every game generated by a crowd of 250. BS15_RED
I don't know what's worse, the moaners, or the people who've got their heads in the sand who think everything at the clubs hunky dory!
You Do The Dziekanowski
I see the point about Paying money and you have an opinion on that. But 1-0 up, Slow defence people around me were complaining we started passing backwards and sideways. It's like we have to run forward every time we get the ball. That's a bit annoying. This is what really gets me, The same people moan when we try an extravagant ball saying we should play it simple

We won't be playing any poorer side than gillingham for the rest of the season.

There is no need to moan about a backwards or sideways pass when we are winning Especially when we have a defence which is more leaky than the Mexican oil pipes!! WTFiGO!?!
People were in quite good humour where I was. Think on-line opinions are amplified and scrutinised to such an extent that it makes things feel more devisive than they actually are in reality. M_Porter
You tell me what there has been NOT to moan about for the last few YEARS ? Although im not a forum moaner, and I know the type of threads your are referring to im afraid 1 win does not detract from the utter shit we have been watching for the last few years, that coupled with the mess in the boardroom, the mess with tickets, the AV mess and god only knows what else... you tell me what there is to NOT moan about. No I can see exactly why people come on here and moan, and yes it bores me too to see the same people posting the same moans after every game, but I can see why they do it, they are simply not happy after watching and experiencing what we all have over the last few years. Still onwards and more importantly upwards COYR Cheers Mark

I can assure you, we are far more tolerant than alot of other clubs fans. To be still getting the crowds we do , considering our recent shambolic history, is admirable on all our parts. I will still be renewing my ST and still having a good moan if need be, in L2.

Robin1988
The repeated moaning when we passed it back to Fielding when we were winning yesterday was embarrassing, I'm not convinced you'd get that at many other clubs. Also can't remember another club who has cheered one of their own players off.
Oxford Red
Think back just a couple of weeks ago at Leyton Orient. Sarcastically applauding when their keeper caught the ball, hurling abuse at him when he picked it out the net for Flints goal and booing when they passed it back. Watch Russell Slades response after the game where he said he'd rather they stayed at home if thats their support. Like i said such fans are everywhere. They were losing We were 1-0 up for gods sake!! People complaining about passing it backwards and sideways. Moaning JET isn't moving into the 'correct' positions when the ball is on the other side of the pitch all of that when we are winning and in control of the game. No need for it the clue is the name 'supporters' so when we are winning lets support not moan

Harry
The anti SC brigade distraught that their team won a football match under him?? Ridiculous comment pal. I cheered yesterday's goals as hard and loud as any I've done in years, as they were so crucial. I made my position very clear on the lengthy thread last week, and I stated on there that I will not mention Cotterill's name again this season. Hence you will not find me 'moaning' (I'd rather use the term 'expressing my opinion') until the season is done.
