Bell Or Brennan

Recommended Posts

For me

1) Bell

2) Barnard

3) Brennan

4) Scott

Barnard could take a great set piece & could defend but never thought he had a lot of pace

Brennan had so much pace going forward.

Scott was a fantastic defender but for me Micky had it all. A great player.

Barnard, then Scott, then Bell, then Brennan.

John Bailey wasn't too shabby either!

I always remember john bialy swallowing his tongue at twerton and the gas somehow getting a penalty for the pleasure... I was only a youn'un at the time and was in the gas end with some of my dads friends... Twerton got trashed that ngt

Common denominator Brian Tinnion ?

Barnard was a brilliant footballer , Bell had the longevity , Martin Scott the best defender  , and Jim Brennan the quickest ..... or was he, Brian Drysdale ?

We were truly blessed for a long spell. As for John Bailey , we went to a pre season friendly (pos Mangotsfield) and after the game we weere in the bar and JB sneaked in for a crafty bottle, still damp wrapped in a towel !

One more to add Stuart Munro.
