League Table Last 25 Games

Recommended Posts

I thought it would be interesting to see a league table of the last 25 games played. Basically I wanted a table since Cotterill joined. I know a season is played over 46 games etc. etc. but it does show that we have had playoff form since he has been here. Something positive to take into next season.

League One last 25 games:

1. Wolves 57

2. Brentford 51

3. Rotherham 49

4. Preston 47

5. Sheff U 44

6. City 42

7. Orient 39

8. P'Boro 37

9. Swindon 36

10. N County 35

11. Oldham 33

12. Crawley 32

13. MK Dons 32

14. Crewe 31

15. Gills 30

16. P Vale 30

17. Colchester 29

18. Walsall 28

19. Tranmere 27

20. Bradford 26

21. Coventry 26

22. Stevenage 24

23. Carlisle 21

24. Shrewsbury 19

Very pleased with the way Cotts has come in and got us out of the clear mess we were in, and i will continue to give him my support. However, i think this summer, and the start of next season will tell us whether he is the man to take us up the table in the long term and can be a decisive, tactically accurate manager for this club. I hope he will be.

It's amazing what you can do with loans. The transfer windows have definitely effected how seasons and results pan out.

Month leading up to SC's arrival 12 points...month after his arrival 8 points...then after loans brought in, it got a lot better.

Not surprised to see Notts County up in mid table...one of the better sides I've watched this season...will watch for them next year.

Cotterill was appointed on December 3rd.

From November 2nd up to December 2nd we managed 6 points actually.

Not safe yet, if Crewe and Tranny win & they don't beat Oldham they could be down I think

Ah... I went from match to match...point taken, but it still doesn't change the fact our up turn came about after the loans in January.

No disrespect to SC...but any manager could have done that.

I just hope he gets it right over the summer.

Any manager could have done what, exactly?

6th in the table on games played after he took over?

Clearly 18 managers couldn't.

Use the window to bring in experienced loans and being able to pay their wages.

Not having a go at SC...but he kept us up using loans.

Fair play to him...lets hope he gets it right with any permanent signings over the summer and we don't get anymore El Abds.

Our upturn came when the players decided to give a shit after the 3-0 drumming of Sheff Utd

Not forgetting Osbourne and Gillett were also initially brought in by SOD.

.

That is such a simple view.

How many loan players have we had in the past 4-5 disastrous seasons?

Plenty of them were a good calibre too.

Not giving him enough credit.

To get to 12 points before SC's arrival ... that must be the "month" that started on 17 September and lasted all the way through until 26 November.

Fair point though, time did seem to go awfully slowly during SOD's tenure.
