Drew Peacock
If we had a 'favourite tackles by a centre back' thread Sir Geoff Merrick, pick any one from hundreds. Could tackle from behind and the forward wouldn't even notice he'd been tackled. Amazing technique.
PHILINFRANCE
Wrong, DR left in 72. Not sure but wasn't it Ernie Hunt (similar physique) ? Similar physique, perhaps. But different hairstyle!

timothy bird
yes, muddy, est conditions I've ever seen a match played in, Merrick scrambled it in at the meadow end, Hereford were a very decent side in those days btw.
David Brent
McCombe scored quite a few late goals didn't he? I seem to remember he scored the goal against Palace which sent Warnock mad, I think it was in the 95th minute or something. Ha ha. He weren't happy.http://youtu.be/u0Z1PPFzLh4
steveybadger
I have a recollection of Matt Bryant thundering one in at the Atyeo End from 30 odd yards when I was young? Vs Stoke over xmas period, 94 i think, we were in big relegation trouble and was a dire game. Bryant strolled forward and mullered it top corner. Was right behind it and one if my fav goals ever. cityloyal473
Didn't Osman score a late equaliser or winner which wasn't met with wholehearted enthusiasm ? Cant remember who against, but the only time i've heard a City goalscorer universally booed. Was pretty vicious.

kachina
McCombe injury time equaliser at riverside against Boro in cup Was there that night, was a great game. Unfortunately Woodman's penalty was shocking But Yakubu missing both pens. So close, but was a great game.
