Did not know that either. That's pretty shocking that you can be the recipient of a FBO whilst watching it from a pub.
Club and Country
The evening post article is shocking Firstly it says 70 fans are banned, then decides it 80, then finally rounds it off with 100!!!
Super
The evening post article is shocking Firstly it says 70 fans are banned, then decides it 80, then finally rounds it off with 100!!! And most likely still wrong.
Sleepy1968
The evening post article is shockingFirstly it says 70 fans are banned, then decides it 80, then finally rounds it off with 100!!!70 - ordered to hand in passports (makes it clear not all of them have passports, and some may have handed them in already). Also says nearly 100 (then quotes 95) as currently having banning orders.Maybe they've corrected the edit since you looked...
You Do The Dziekanowski
Why do the police try and blame everything on football? A game is on TV. Italy vs Spain for example Two Englishman have an argument over relationships and start fighting. Does that mean they warrant a football banning order as they were watching the game? 22A
So if having received a banning order in the past, but now you're "well behaved" and need to go abroad on business in early June, you are stuffed. As for the final paragraph of that article; if you are in a pub which happens to be showing a game and a scuffle breaks out over a spilt drink, or a comment about someone's wife / girl friend, anyone in that pub would (if the Police decide so), receive a banning order. Aussie
I think it depends upon the police force for its application. For example, if you were in the town of Walsall and had the West Midlands Police force discover you came from Bristol, you would probably receive a banning order from football matches if you were seen to be crossing the road and not look both ways within 2 miles of a pub that may have had a TV set that was able to receive channels that may be showing a football match within the next 60 days.... redjar
Have just read the article in post why is the post trying to publish the names of those who have banning orders ? Quote from paper says ..police are refusing to "name and shame " the people on the list, unless they fail to hand their passports in when names could be published. Is there any need to print names and adresses of those banned in paper ? Courts/police have given them banning orders is there any reason the post should tell everyone ? And no im not on a banning order but dont understand why they should do this apart from using space up ??
