That Louie Donowa goal Posted May 29, 2014 Report Share Posted May 29, 2014 Its a quiet spell as its pre-season but Me and Mate were discussing this topic mine would be Jason Dozzell for Ipswich he scored a 30 yard screamer in top corner although we won 4-2 in one of our first games after getting promoted under super Joe Jordan cracking game. They have all been offside or fluky or miss hits or penalties that shouldn't have been given, that sort of thing. Oh! Sean Dyche's long range own goal probably the best. Or Merrick's diving header. And didn't Liverpool score 'Goal of the Season' at the Gate in the late seventies? Can't remember if it was Ray Kennedy or Ken Dalglish, but it was a brilliant team goal... Think Collymore scored a hat trick for Forest against us and he was pretty much unplayable. Remember Teddy Sheringham scoring a hat trick against us as well for millwall. I remember a superb strike by Graeme Murty for Reading at the Madejski back in about 2001. That's one of the best I can think of right now. Everything they hit went in that day and I think we lost 4-0. I don't know who scored the first but it was one of the best volleys I've ever seen.
