Anyone remember this absolute belter of a game?

My childhood - when indoors - was spent playing this on our old Amiga.

I've just found this

Basically just download the top link here

http://www.sensiblesoccer.de/community/downloads

And install and away you go. You can even play online I think though I'm just enjoying the "classic" game at the moment!

Even has accurate teams up to (looking at the BCFC squad) the 12/13 season

First game in 20 years and I even managed a draw against Barcelona, I haven't lost it.

Did that have animated highlights and let you make stadium improvements?

You could watch the progress, as though there was a webcam in place ;)

Unlike CM, success was a genuine chalenge and to achieve it you needed to take your finance seriously. Everyone went in at the bottom flight (there were only 3 divs - which detracted from realism, but the clubs did have their own badges).

Anyway, a must was to increase your stadium capacity from a generic 12000. You also set ticket prices, negotiated sponsorship deals etc.

The highlights of the match were animated.

Honestly, my memoirs from my experiance as an 8-10 year old was that it was a very good game.

I don't know what became of it.

Is this the right game? If it is, you can download it and relive those childhood years

Pretty much every Spectrum game ever made can be found here http://www.worldofspectrum.org/. They all run in Java in your browser as well.

I have spent several evenings going down memory lane on this site...

http://thecompany.pl/game

All the games just run with a double click, no need to mess about with emulators.

All the Kick Off games are built into a hefty 6mb download! http://thecompany.pl/game/Kick+Off+2:+Return+To+Europe

It's a great site, if there was an Amiga game you remember playing, it will be on there.

This has so many great memories, thanks man
