Wynn Davies's Boots

where's the joy

Recommended Posts

back in the day all football boots were black, unless they had a bit of mud on them..

then adidas made white boots for a year or so and they were worn by Alan Ball and Wynn Davies of Newcastle United in the early 70's

and now you can't see any black boots anywhere

who's got the most bonkers pair

apricot and a gentle turquoise perhaps

or zesty lime and simmering cinnamon?

Wynn Davies, wow there was a guy who could head a ball and his name sake (no relation) but same era Ron Davies of Southampton and Norwich.

My word yes, Wales had a brilliant front line for a few years, Spurs winger called Cliff Jones supplying the crosses for those two.
