It will be linked to the cafes and bars in the ground so you can order your teas, coffees beers food etc from your seat to be collected at HT.  Order items from club shop. Watch replays of goals scored etc it sounds awesome as long as its cheap

Vodafone 3G is a chocolate teapot at the Gate :grr:

I'd pay for wi-fi.

Due to the amount of users trying to access it.. All about capacity. Orange 4g works a treat because hardly anyone has if. Wifi is susceptible to same issue so would have to have massive capaicity

Interesting to see how the Premier League will react to THEIR product being streamed from Stadia when they own the rights....
Knowing how money oriented it is, It wouldn't surprise me if some sort of limitation is placed on the set up to either prevent streaming, or, the connection fee includes a licence charge for which the Premier league gets a kick back.

O2 is fine then half time comes and nothing works because it's clogged!

VF clogs as soon as there's more than 1000 in the ground :(

PS As to "turn off the phone and watch the footy" - it's sometimes vital to know how the other games are going. Try doing that on VF 3G at the Gate!

A few firewall rules dictating what traffic can go over the network would fix this pretty quickly.

Wifi can also be used for location tracking and any misuse can quickly be dealt with.

But there's also going to be the rugby, corporate events, conferences etc........Ashton Gate will no longer be just a football stadium

Once a week then?

A corporate event here and there with a hundred or two hundred attendees doesn't do the capacity justice.

Its still a massive over-capacity 95% of the time.
