BS3 GAS
no the ghs teamed up with the blade was 3 gasheads meeting up with some mates in town the sunday before the blades play off game in cardiff.... met in Fishmarket tavern with 5 blades supporting friends the pub became a meeting place for the blades fans in town even Paul Heaton from the beautiful south was in there. Coincidence was that A City older head, Bovver authour Chris Brown , Cas pennant and the chap who wrote the blades business crew book (steve cowans?) were meeting up on the waterfront to discuss a project (new book i assume) there was a fair mob of City on the waterfront some of those from the waterfront meeting returned to the fishmarket tensions rose there was a bit of contact between both mobs city were outnumbered by prob 2-1.. a few came over pero's bridge for a gander but retreated back to the waterfront .. blades took th front foot and headed to city mob... figghting on the bridge and over by the the watershed and the 3 gas lads were with there blades mates offering a bit of friendly support.... really wasnt a gas mob joining forces just lads looking out for there mates..... whole city centre was closed off for a while and the blades lot escorted to the colisieum out of the way... bloody lively sunday drink that was!! Kid in the Riot
Think it was for Cass Pennants Top Boys book but City never made the final cut, there's a sort of apology from Cass in the intro....

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Chris Brown was 100% Gas not City When I first read that I thought he was implying that Chris Brown had changed sides as well but I assume he meant that Brown was there with a City older head and Cass Pennant. SDBS36
I remember being on the EE Vs Man Utd , not sure if it was 1st or 2nd division but there were Gas at the back. No chants of Rovers , I seem to remember they stayed clear of that maybe the odd 'Bristol' chant. Sure they were left alone. Nogbad , that Spurs game as a 15 / 16 year old walked in to be asked the time by someone at the front of that mob of Spurs, made it unscathed to the middle before it kicked off. Those Div 1 day were usually eventful. Was ther in the middle of the EE behind the goal, remember Man U fans in with us saying we be welcome in the Strettford end, then it all kicked off
BRISTOL86
Get over it, more often than not it was handbags, sometimes very violent, but whatever it was the camaraderie generated in those days between mates and the club that makes football support at all levels of football in this country the envy of the rest of the world. It's that attitude that makes England and English football the laughing stock of the rest of the world.
Rich
It's that attitude that makes England and English football the laughing stock of the rest of the world.I think he refers to the level of support being the envy of the rest of the world and he's correct especially in Europe. As for thuggery and violence, England/Britain is a long way behind other nations across the world, as is our football, which is, a laughing stock
