CITYAREREDANDWHITE
Gone to Forest for 5.5 million, stupid money. This is the reason we can get 4-5m for Baldock.
pride of the west
Definitely. That's 2 seasons in a row now boro have got more than they should have for their main man. Kid in the Riot
Baldock top goalscorer at 8/1 with Ladbrokes suddenly looks rather attractive.
redcherryberry
Nice to see a promotion rival bomb two players recently who got near on 50 goals between them last season. Although I'm sure Washington & Vassell will step up they still need to find a Britt replacement. Be interesting to see who they bring in?!
ciderbeans
How the **** do they manage to get so much money for players yet we are always fighting for decent money? Gayle, one good season and get 8 mill. Britt, one good season ad get 5.5 mill. Ridiculous! The other pain point is we could have got Britt if we were prepared to pay a little extra and look at the profit we could have made. I just hope they don't jump all over Agard and snatch him from us as without a doubt, they will have him for one good season and sell him for way more than he's worth. Nibor
How many years left on his contract though. Think you'll find thats the difference between 1-2m and 4-5m! Why? This is only a factor if we let it be one. A buyer wants him now, not in 12 months and in 12 months they'd have to compete with other clubs and pay him all the money they might save on a fee. All we have to do is adopt the right stance.

YourMyMartinKuhl
5.5 mil is good business but outs a bench mark for baldock price! Take in to consideration his year left on his contract and him being a couple years older than Britt it is about 3 million, which in my opinion if his goals take us up and he goes on a free it's worth more than 3 million! So don't sell and see how the season goes! COYR bring on Saturday!

22A
Breaking news this morning; with 2 days to the new season, P'boro' have sold Assombalonga (their top scorer) to Forest for around 5.5 million. Some of that goes to Watford as sell on clause.Slightly City related as this weakens one of our opponent teams and it was Assombalonga who dropped to the pitch in the game v City up here last season. The Posh players didn't appeal to the Ref and their fans weren't screaming for blood, but El Abd was sent off.El Abd has his critics on here, but that night Assombalonga pulled a fast one, the Linesman bought it and City finished the game with ten men. TheCulturalBomb
Would have been near impossible for us to reject an offer on that scale, most clubs wouldn't think twice about rejecting it in L1. Now it certainly makes a mockery of the 6-figure bid from Brighton for Sammy
