hippy273
I had a funny conversation whilst watching city in the pub earlier, the half time pundit referred to us as 'Bristol' and my buddy said "I hate it when we are called Bristol". I said to him "I prefer it when they call us Bristol because there's only 1 team" I guess lots of pundits and managers who release statements calling us Bristol don't seem to realise there are 2 teams, haha! Esmond Million's Bung
My favourite was when the first northern monkey dived and was booked, the pundit thought Smith had been booked and even after several views said "that is a booking anywhere in the world, all day long" and 5 minutes later "yes the referee was brilliant there and got that exactly right", pundits my arse. Bobby Reid
Not arsed. We are getting national recognition. Good enough for me. They are too, but early signs show only 12,000 tuned into the gas!
Wanderingred
Hate it. It shows complete ignorance to bristol as a footballing city. Nobody would have called our opponents "sheffield" would they?
BRISTOL86
I don't like it purely because it's not our name! Even if Man City were in the conference, no one would call United "Manchester". I get why it's amusing with Rovers where they are, but this has been happening for as long as I can remember, even when we were not too far apart in the heirarchy. It's just lazy punditry. REDOXO
I have always hated it.....Until Now! We are Bristol City and we represent the City of Bristol! Bristol Rovers are a Non-League outfit. Have you ever heard a Bradford City supporter moan because they are referred to as Bradford and could be confused with Bradford Park Avenue.....No! thought Not! Southport Red
I don't mind it. Sky commentators did call the other lot Sheffield a couple of times. Full name is really only needed if we play the gas. If we were playing Bradford, they couldn't call us 'City', this forum is 'One team in Bristol' so I'm fine with it
Eddie Hitler
It's correct now. When people talk about Cambridge everybody knows that they're referring to Cambridge United. Nobody would think that they're perhaps referring to some non-league local side like Cambridge City.

Ashton Fred
OK first half. Much better second half. Overall think we deserved the win. Say what you want about Sky commentators but they all agreed it was a good game to watch, and we won! Great start to one of the most difficult games of the season.
