Mike Litoris
Now this is interesting, and sheds a new light on the whole saga. If I understand correctly, Pulis' transfer policies resulted in the legacy that he left at Stoke - an old, highly paid squad with minimal sell on value - which Hughes is still addressing. As #Always the bridesmaid noted, the "old, expensive and experienced" model is exactly what 'Arry did at Pompey, so understandably the Board said no - clearly it was divergent with their strategy, a short-term approach vs long-term security. Not forgetting Stoke outspent Arsenal, Everton and a few others by quite a significant margin whilst Pulis was there.
Gert Mare
Watch this space..... He is launching a bid to buy the Sags with Fruity Francis. He's gonna become Director of park football, and then entice the Skull to leave that small saaf landan club Millwall and come home to help rise the massive club pheonix from the flames stylie. If Skull can't leave the smaller club to come back home then plan B is to install Marcus Stewart as Manager by Xmas with Steve Yates as his big brown steaming number 2. The master plan is to bring back a few of their old committed players to get them out of the Bananarama.....Billy Ocean, Devon White, Nigel Martyn, David Mehew, Gary Penrice, Smash & Grab, and Paul Randall have all been offered 10 year deals.....but no such luck for Paul Nixon as Fruity wants to leave horse punching to the fans. Mark my words this is all happening right now. Remember where you heard it first!
WhistleHappy
Maybe to be able to afford TP's targets Palace would need to Sel Hurst first.
havanatopia
Source? Copout in Penang according to a Jack in the Beanstalk bar owner. Just what a friend of mine heard amongst the chitter chatter on the Anne Summers Web site.
