Port Vale V City Match Day Thread

Yes, because

a) we have another game 4 days time for which he would be fresher for

b) he is on a yellow, another mis-timed tacked and we miss him for 3 games

c) Jet must be champing at the bit to show what he can do again, like he did when he came on .v. Notts.C

My thoughts too; not a comment on Wilbraham's contribution, but hardly a backwards step.

Also; JET is a totally different player, and could very well disrupt Vale's momentum by making them have to consider a different kind of threat.

Thing is; folks say he doesn't ship in, but I've seen him clearing corners with his head and harrying players, so never understand why people think he's incapable of defending.

Plus, he puts teams on the back foot; keeping them from attacking by attacking ourselves is better than holding them at arms length.

yes i appreciate he does get back and mix it sometimes, just sounds like Wilbs is there when needed everytime?

I'd not argue he's perhaps not as physical and involved as Wilbraham, but I think it is unfair to suggest JET doesn't muck in.

Remember him back tackling and heading away balls against Walsall last year at home; we impressed, if it did mean he was miles behind the play when we broke most of the time.
