RedM
Hello and welcome, yes there are a couple of threads http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/165486-making-season-ticket-seat-available-if-you-cant-go-to-a-match/ And http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/165477-cant-make-tomorrows-match/
Between heaven and hell
Thanks for the info RedM i've just read Dave's original reply. It does seem a little unfortunate that nothing can be done as I'm sure we have all sat next to empty seats when its supposed to be sold out, especially when you know people would snap them up. ciderup
I just wonder if part of the new South stand could be made available before the end of the season as there wouldn't be a problem selling them? Safety permitting obviously.
That Louie Donowa goal
Welcome Mate, would be nice if club gave these seats to people on low income wages who would not otherwise afford to go. Like just a fiver mark up or something similar. I will get shot down for this!!!
Between heaven and hell
Good shout that and just think of all the positive publicity it would create, unfortunately though it would never happen.

Stoke_Gifford_Red
Also think about what effect the lower Dolman closure will have in the new year, capacity reduced again? Not as much of an effect as you would imagine because when the lower Dolman is closed it is expected the netting will be removed from block A and block G freeing these seats up. CITYAREREDANDWHITE
Also think about what effect the lower Dolman closure will have in the new year, capacity reduced again? Top tier will be fully open then, will reduce capacity sleep girly, but not by a huge amount. Will also make it more compact, so the crowd looks bigger

RedM
It's Sod's law though isn't it, the season we reduce capacity is being our most successful in a long time and the demand for seats is the highest.
tiz
I am going tonight on my mates daughters u19 season ticket. Basically I paid to upgrade it to an adult seat. I was told this can be done if season ticket holders call the club and relinquish their seats. All I had to do was pass my phone to the ticket office and my mate to give his details. A friend of mine was nearly lame by the time we got back to the car Really? It was only a mile so about 15-20 minutes at a normal walking pace. I've not paid that much attention to the whole ground development stuff. So the Williams is gone next. What does this do for capacity next season? More or less than we have now? Remember a very heavy evening trying to Drink a bar dry down by the station and also an even more memorable hangover the next day. The vision that morning was so impaired even the bloody tower looked straight, that's strong Italian lager for you I suppose. Also other memories of seeing young well dressed Italian lads getting off their scooters and coming in for a sophisticated espresso while we were all slobbering into our buckets of lager! shepton red
Is that a low income fan who chooses to smoke and drink excessively, drives a car he can't afford, chooses a low income for a easier job that gives him a better quality of life or just because it is easier than putting yourself out? Impossible to determine a class of individuals that would qualify. I go without smoking, drinking and holidays so that I can buy a season ticket go to away matches. I earn below the national average, would I qualify? This is why this is a difficult subject. and I 100% understand your view point. However: Equally I could be from an abusive background, suffer from dyslexia, thrown out of school because 'I did not try hard enough' , and work on a minimum wage, and despite all that I am too proud to ask for help from the state. So, should this person not be given a chance/opportunity to see their local side at cut price?
