Bally
A bit of an anti climax the draw in the end for you but like a lot have said a very winnable gain, more prize money and a good chance of making round 4 and getting one of the big clubs
chipdawg
I would normally be quite happy about this draw given my proximity to Doncaster, but as I land at Heathrow at 11am on January 3rd after spending Christmas away, it's turned into a proper bugger. Shit draw and I can't even go to the game
JM91
I for one am incredibly pleased we will get to show how far we've come by testing ourselves against the giants that are Doncaster. It's an obvious contender to be shown live and I can only imagine that BBC will be kicking themselves thinking they should have stumped up the extra cash to pick the illustrious tie first ahead of BT Sport. The winner of this match will be in with a great shout of going all the way and lifting the cup.
Between heaven and hell
For gods sake boys and girls we can beat this lot no danger then march on to round four. I would be quite happy playing non premiership sides if it meant we could get to the semi's then face Chelsea or the Arse at Wembley. Not back to work until the 6th so I'll be going
Posset red
Could of been worse could of been preston which is a horrible distance and a lot less winnable chins up guys coyr
Phileas Fogg
Oh well.. I feared Preston or Norwich away towards the end. Not a good tie but winnable/

East Yorkshire CideRed
Sounds like I'm one of the only ones pleased with this one! 1hr 30 trip for me & chance to introduce my eldest (currently waivering between Arsenal, Barcelona & Real Madrid!!) to the rollercoaster ride that is Bristol City! We'll hopefully get a better draw in Round 4 :-)
054123
I like when Doncaster are underwhelmed. They'd have to have drawn Ebbsfleet to feel as underwhelmed as I do. What a non event.

Dolman Block B
Not the best draw but they have only won one game at home all season so there for the taking Then a biggy in round four
Gert Mare
Last team out this time, last 2 last time. So we could have drawn Weston-super-Mare in another dimension!
JamesBCFC
Why are people so sure that we will get a 'big' team in the 4th round should we get there? Let's say There are 6 'big teams' both mancs, arse and chelski, 2 in Liverpool. There are a total of 64 teams in the 4th round i believe, 1 being us/donny. So we have a 6 in 63 chance, less than 10%

Redrobin7
Hey guys, at least we only have to potentially play Gillingham 4 more times this season! Ah... On a serious and perspective note - good run in both cups, promotion on the cards...look at us this time last year and smile COYR!

Cup runs are built on winning a places like Doncaster. Any team in the 4th round will be a big game, and the matches will get bigger and bigger, whoever we draw, the longer we progress. Doncaster away may not be inspiring, but it gives City a real chance to progress into the last 32, and that's the main thing.

Our performances in the cups this season have been better on the road than at AG as well. Been dire at home v Oxford, Wimbledon and Telford but actually rather good at Cheltenham and Gillingham. Donny were a mess at AG earlier in the season, onwards to round 4 let's get a proper run going
Northern Red
Yeah, its a crap draw - but what a load of whinging little ninnies on here, lot of dummy spitting going on because we (and Doncaster) got a crap draw. Yep. I wouldn't mind but half the people saying about wanting to get knocked out or withdrawing are the same ones who were chucking their toys out of the pram yesterday and going on about how embarrassing and humiliating it was that we were drawing 0-0 with Telford. CiderOnMyMind
Personally I'm quite happy with this draw! Can go up there confident in getting through to the next in which I'll be happy to draw another lower league/non league team to reach the 5th round. The 'glamour tie' can wait until we have had a decent little cup run that we've not had for many many years!!

We are then playing twice a week to catch up on league matches. We now have to rearrange Peterborough home (from Jan 3) AND Doncaster away (from Jan 24). So beat Doncaster, win in 4th round and that's another to rearrange. PROMOTION IS OUR ONLY PRIORITY THIS SEASON!

JamesBCFC
Winning Fa cup isn't a priority? I tend to disagree..... Well winning the league is realistic compared to winning the FA cup, so the FA cup is a lower priority

Mr Roper
Dont know if it has already been said but if we had got Manure instead of Donny the build up etc may well have hit our League form .As we all know getting back into the Championship is our only real aim this season. cidered abroad
And, even worse, the league game at Doncaster - much more important - is now bound to be on a weekday night, so much smaller away following. I guess if we lose at Donny we'll re-arrange the Peterborough home game for the 24th. No. That day Peterborough are at Notts County in Lge One.
